Audition Information

Membership in the Pittsburgh Philharmonic is comprised of volunteer musicians. Members come from many walks of life: teachers, professors, students, scientists, retirees, executives, and business men and women to list a few.

New members are accepted by audition.
Strings may audition throughout the season.

For the 2012-2013 Season and 2013 Summer Season, the Philharmonic is taking auditions for the following instruments:

All Strings
Bassoon
Horn
Harp
Tuba
Percussion

We are also seeking woodwind and brass players to serve on a sub list.
