We invite you to join The Pittsburgh Philharmonic!
Fulfill your desire to perform classical masterpieces and great contemporary works. Connect with other dedicated musicians and become involved with the inner workings of a community orchestra. Membership in the Pittsburgh Philharmonic includes volunteer musicians from many walks of life: attorneys, teachers, professors, medical professionals, students, scientists, retirees, executives, and business men and women, to list a few.
New members are accepted by audition. The Philharmonic holds auditions every January and August to fill openings and maintain our sub-list. Specific audition dates and positions are determined by the needs of the orchestra at the time. Details regarding open positions and audition dates will be published here and in our newsletter as the time approaches.
Rehearsals occur on Monday nights from 7:15-9:45pm.
